Congratulations to the Crump family on the recent adoption of Adam Thomas. On January 11, Adam officially joined the family of Jon and Lisa Crump. He is joined by his siblings; Jake and Tyler.

Written by the Crump Family:
Adam Beckum was injured as a soldier in the Air Force in 2011. Jon became involved in the Wounded Warrior program as a mentor through Lockheed Martin and was assigned to work with Adam in 2013.
Adam had numerous obstacles to overcome including a traumatic and abusive childhood, PTSD, and anger management issues.
After some time, Adam was introduced to our family and never “let go”. We have grown to love Adam and have been blessed to watch him evolve into the fine young man he is today. We made the family decision to officially adopt Adam into the family on January 11, 2022!
We are excited about this new chapter in Adam’s life as he is also engaged to a beautiful young lady, Becca Pilney, and they plan to tie the knot in November.

Laura Turner and Gary Butler were married on Dec. 31 at the Pasadena Community Church in St. Petersburg, FL. Officiating the ceremony were The Rev. Dr. Jenn Stiles Williams and The Rev. Corey Jones. Congratulations!

St. Luker Jim Whitehead passed away on January 11. Jim and his family have been partners with St. Luke’s since 1993. Jim, alongside his wife Debbie, have been faithful ushers for our former 8:00 a.m. service. They have served in many capacities and on multiple committees over the years. A service for Jim was held in the Sanctuary on January 18. Please keep Jim's family in your prayers.
St. Luke's Cares for Seniors in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities
The Care Visitation Team put together 30 no-sew flannel blankets for Christmas and then delivered them to all the care recipients they visit who are in Nursing homes, Assisted Living Centers, or their homes. Everyone was so delighted with the gift and felt “wrapped in warm prayers” from their St. Luke’s family.
The Care Visitation Team visits those in need of prayer and support on a regular basis. If you know of anyone that would benefit from having a CVT team member visit them, please reach out to the Care office or call 407.876.4991 ext. 262 and let us know.
Maxey Elementary Food Distribution
St. Luke’s, with many partners, provided fresh produce and shelf-stable goods to 100 families at Maxey Elementary School. This Restoring Hope initiative was supported by the Society of St Andrew, Southeastern Food Bank, CROS Ministries, and Lake Meadow Naturals. Each family received sweet corn, romaine lettuce, oranges, green peppers, tomatoes, 5 pounds of potatoes, chicken, pasta, sauce, black beans, and rice. Thank you to all the volunteers for packing, gleaning, and transporting all of this bounty.
The Child Development Center celebrates
100 days of learning!
The school has been open 100 days and the VPK children celebrated with a 100 day museum. The children created posters with 100 items in rows of 10's. They have been practicing counting since the beginning of school by ones, and tens to get to 100. They had a special 100 day snack, did writing prompts of what I will do when I am 100, and even celebrated with a treat of Smarties for being 100 days smarter!
The Child Development Center is currently registering for the 2022-2023 school year. Download the registration paperwork at www.st.lukes.org/cdc.
