From the Directors of Recruitment
TU's Office of Admission recently incorporated a coaching model for our structured framework to allow for a better exchange of ideas and enhance lines of communication within our office. Our three directors of recruitment all began as admission counselors at TU and now coach our admission counseling team. Meet them here:

Audrey Crum
Audrey started at TU in 2017. As a the vice-chair of TU's staff advisory council and as a stand-in for the Dean of Admission (when unavailable) at TU's Administrative Leadership Team meetings, Audrey represents our office well. She's well versed in trends in college admission and helps keep TU's policies relevant in the industry.
| Kristle Lacy
A native Tulsan and a proud TU alumna, Kristle started her admission career with TU in 2012. She has a Masters in Adult & Higher Education and intends to pursue a Ph.D. beginning next year. Kristle loves sports and bleeds blue! She can be seen (and heard) on the sidelines of all TU football and basketball games!
| Staci Pennington
Staci has been a part of the Office of Admission for five years; each year keeps getting better. This year alone, she was named the GPACAC Rising Star, she earned her masters in educational leadership, she was selected for TU's Q4 Pillar of Commitment Award and was recognized by NACAC as a Rising Star.

The month of Thanksgiving is a perfect time to say we're thankful that our colleagues are our friends. We're also grateful for the work you do with your students to help them navigate their daily lives and prepare them for life beyond high school. We hope you feel as supported in your work as we do in ours. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving filled with the people and things that fill your soul.

International engineering/science & language info session
Learning a foreign language is intriguing, but many students feel they need to give it up in college to pursue other interests. We not only encourage students to continue studying a language at TU, we've created the International Engineering/Science and Language Program (IEL or ISL) to help them pursue a language degree while earning a second degree in engineering or natural sciences. Have students who might want to learn more about this opportunity? Encourage them to attend our virtual information session on Dec. 4!
Presidential scholarship info session
In addition to our very generous National Merit Semifinalist Scholarship Package, TU also offers the Presidential Scholarship, a competitive academic scholarship worth full tuition for four years. To be eligible, students must have at least a 4.0 weighted GPA, or rank in the top 5% of their graduating class, or be a College Board Recognition Program scholar (First Generation, African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Indigenous or Rural and Small Town) in the top 10% of their graduating class. Have students who might want to learn about this opportunity? Encourage them to attend our virtual information session on Dec. 7.

For the seventh year in a row, TU has received a Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine. “It is not lost on us that during this time of political polarity and the assault on DEI in higher education that our work is even more important now,” said Kelli McLoud-Schingen, TU’s vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion. “Our office remains steadfast in working to ensure that our underrepresented faculty, staff, and students are supported and reminded that they are important to TU and that they belong.”

TU has a Reputation for Research
New and exciting research opportunities occur across The University of Tulsa; our research environment is one of TU's most distinctive advantages. As a mid-size university, we're large enough to support a vigorous research program yet small enough that our scholars remain visible members of a supportive community.
