We are two weeks away from SUU Homecoming, and we invite you to join us for the celebration. The schedule of events includes our Alumni Awards Banquet, Forever Red, the Pancake Breakfast, Parade, and much more! Homecoming 2023 Schedule

Homecoming Awards Banquet

The annual Alumni Awards Banquet takes place on Thursday, September 22, and six individuals will be recognized for their contributions in their respective professions and for their exemplary service to Southern Utah University.

Forever Red

This much-anticipated event, now in its 12th year, will fill the Upper Quad with live music, red and white lights, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks show.

Pancake Breakfast & Parade

We will be flipping pancakes beginning at 9 a.m. at the Hunter Alumni Center Parking Lot. Bring your family and friends (along with your appetite!) and enjoy a complimentary breakfast. The Parade gets underway at 10 a.m., and the Hunter Alumni Center is the perfect place to watch. We will provide bleachers, chairs, plenty of shade (thanks to the large sycamore trees), and restroom access.

Cheer on the Thunderbirds

Homecoming Saturday will see two of our Thunderbird teams in action. Volleyball hosts California Baptist University at Noon in the America First Event Center, and Football takes on Western Illinois at 6 p.m. in Eccles Coliseum. See you at the games!

Diamond Rio in Concert at SUU

Diamond Rio's Holiday and Hits Tour is coming to SUU and the America First Event Center. This one-night only show on Thursday, December 7, will be the perfect way to kick-off the holiday season. Purchase your tickets early to assure best seating.

September 7: Salt Lake Networking Lunch, 12 Noon, at Snell & Wilmer. Paul Shakespear will be our guest speaker. Complimentary lunch provided by Snell & Wilmer. RSVP today.

September 9: SUU Football at BYU, 1 p.m. at LaVell Edward Stadium.

September 18-23: SUU Homecoming. See the schedule.

September 22: Alumni Band Concert, 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage Center. This sixth binnenial concert is open to the public. Band alumni can register here.

October 7: SUU Cross Country/Track & Field 2nd Annual Alumni Race at Cedar Ridge Golf Course. Register here.

Now through October 7: Utah Shakespeare Festival. Get your tickets at bard.org.

October 30: Alumni Leadership Academy begins. This six-week, online professional certificate will help you advance your career and strengthen your leadership skills. Register here.

November 6: Thor's Thunder Classic at Sand Hollow Resort. Spots are almost filled so reserve your team today.
