Shauna Mendini to Serve as Interim Provost

SUU recently announced the appointment of Dean Shauna Mendini as interim provost and vice president of academic affairs. Dean Mendini, who was preparing to retire in July after a distinguished academic career, has graciously agreed to step into the position as Provost Jon Anderson prepares for his new role as president of PennWest.

SUU Names New Deans

Ken Hall has been named dean of the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business, and Michael Schmidt as dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts. Dean Hall most recently served as interim dean for the Leavitt School of Business for the past year and began his appointment on May 1. Dean Schmidt currently serves as interim dean of the College of Arts at Valdosta State University and begins his new role here on July 1.

SUU Cowboys Secure Spot at College National Finals

Our men's rodeo team had an outstanding season, and team members Brian Evans and Blake Bowler both qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) set for June 9-15, in Casper, Wyoming. Brian will compete in the bronc riding event, and Blake in calf roping and team roping. The CNFR will air on ESPN3.
