March was a month of national titles for UW-Whitewater student-athletes and teams. Warhawk gymnasts Tegan Haberstock and Paige Magel shared the individual national championship on the balance beam at the 2025 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Division III Championship to lead the team to a national runner-up finish, and men’s club bowling won the 2025 Collegiate Club National Championship tournament for the team’s third national title in the last seven years

Warhawk Business Plan Competition
|
Join us for the Warhawk Business Plan Competition this Wednesday, April 9, from 5:15-7:15 p.m. at the Whitewater University Innovation Center, located at 1221 Innovation Dr. This is an opportunity for the Whitewater entrepreneurial community to gather and support our students as they pitch their business concepts live before a panel of judges. Refreshments and networking begin at 5:15, and the program starts at 5:45.

Learn vehicle safety and maintenance
|
Work with a mechanic to get hands-on experience this Tuesday, April 8, at 3:30 p.m. outside the west side of Upham Hall. Learn how to perform vehicle maintenance operations like changing a tire, jump-starting a car battery, filling car fluids, and so much more! The event, organized by the Women in Business Institute and the Student Safety Organization, is open to all students.

| Roberta’s Art Gallery: Children’s Center display

Celebrate the creativity of campus's youngest artists! Stop by the pop-up exhibition outside Roberta’s Art Gallery this week (April 7-12) and explore a collection of artwork created by the talented children at the UW-Whitewater Children’s Center. Most pieces will be auctioned online to support outdoor learning equipment. This special display honors the Week of the Young Child, recognizing the impact of early learning. On Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy a gallery walk with light refreshments.

Sales team places among world's top five
|
UW-Whitewater's sales team, which includes members of the university's American Marketing Association chapter, finished among the top five in the world at the 2025 National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) on March 7-10.

| Gymnasts earn All-America honors
|
Six Warhawks were All-Americans for the 2025 season based on their performances during the regular season and at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Division III Championship. The group led UW-Whitewater to a national runner-up finish.

Students create “DanceScapes ‘25”
|
A total of 31 UW-Whitewater students were involved in the production of "DanceScapes '25" through the College of Arts and Communication. The production concluded Sunday, April 6.

Kudos to Ozgul Kartal, associate professor of curriculum and instruction, who co-presented a paper titled “Analysis of imprecise language in university students’ trigonometry solutions” at the Psychology of Mathematics Education North American conference in November.

Kudos to Alyssa Ostrenga, a communication major from De Pere, and Hannah Sims, a communication major from Whitewater, who presented with Morgan Anderson, assistant dean in the School of Graduate Studies, at the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors - International (ACCED-I) Conference in March. Anderson was recognized at the event after earning the Collegiate Conference and Events Professional (CCEP) designation.
