Spring commencement is here! Graduates will be recognized this Saturday, May 16, at UW-Whitewater’s May 2026 commencement ceremonies. UW-Whitewater at Rock County graduates will be celebrated in a ceremony on Tuesday, May 19, on the Rock County campus. Congratulations, graduates!

The UW-Whitewater baseball team, the 2026 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champion, will host the regional round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship starting later this week at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium.

AMA named International Chapter of the Year for 22nd time
|
For the 15th consecutive year and 22nd overall, the UW-Whitewater American Marketing Association chapter was selected as International Chapter of the Year. The Warhawks finished first in the team case competition, and several individuals were honored at the 2026 AMA International Collegiate Competition on March 12-14 in Chicago.

Three students from UW-Whitewater competed in the 2026 Risk Management Association's College Case Competition, hosted in Madison on April 10.

|
Three students were honored for their entrepreneurship at the Warhawk Business Plan Competition held April 8, 2026, at the Whitewater University Innovation Center.

Kudos to communication sciences and disorders student Bri Peterson, who, along with Lynn Gilbertson, professor of communicative disorders, and Cody Marie Busch, assistant professor of communicative disorders, co-authored "Beyond the Final Image: Using the AI Process to Support Critical Thinking,” which was published in the journal The Teaching Professor. For the fourth consecutive year, UW-Whitewater will welcome thousands of Special Olympics athletes, fans, and volunteers to the Whitewater campus for the Wisconsin Summer Games on June 4-6. For the second straight year, UW-Whitewater hosted the Wisconsin State Council Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) student summit, where students had the opportunity to network with HR professionals and other students from around the state. Human resource management majors Cameron Deml, Kate George, Andrea Lepley, and Lauryn Moneta and faculty/staff members Kristen Burton, Melissa Dreikosen, Uma Kedharnath, and Joshua Knapp each played integral roles in the planning and/or execution of the event.
