Graiser is Featured Vibraphone Clinician |
Dr. Brian Graiser, instructor in music, was one of two featured clinicians for the annual Day of Percussion, Celebrating the Vibraphone, at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He worked with ensembles from two area high schools, the Arkansas Arts Academy, and UAF. Graiser is often involved in educational clinics, hosting performance festivals and competitions, and soliciting new music for the vibraphone, one of the few American-made instruments.

Kaesebier, Reis and Singleton Present Research at NASPA

Dr. Tania Reis and Dr. Topeka Singleton, assistant professors of educational leadership, accompanied Katy Kaesebier, a doctoral candidate in the educational leadership program, as she presented her research at the NASPA conference for Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education in Kansas City. Kaesebier’s research, which focused on higher education research institution female presidents who have a background in student affairs, provides insight into how student affairs can more effectively support women's leadership development through a career in that field.

Naderi Authors New Book Chapter |
Dr. Ehsan Naderi, assistant professor of electrical engineering, and program director, is sole author of a book chapter soon to appear in “Deep Decarbonization of Modern Energy Networks for Climate-Energy-Sustainability Nexus” by Wiley-IEEE Press. The chapter unveils a cutting-edge cyber-physical framework that combines digital twin technology with quantum-augmented analytics to boost resilience, cybersecurity and intelligence in low-carbon energy networks. Case studies using a modified version of the New England power system show advantages of this approach.

Desai, Hill and Lin Accompany GAs with Research

Dr. Hrishikesh Desai, Dr. Matt Hill and Dr. Nanying Lin, Griffin College of Business, accompanied three graduate assistants as they presented their research at the 2026 Arkansas College Teachers of Economics and Business (ACTEB) Conference. Oscar Gilbert presented “How Rational Is AI Investment Advice? Risk-Return Relevance in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Investments,” Austin Murray presented “An Exploratory Analysis of U.S. Household Liquidity Management,” and Seung Ho Jeon presented “Behavioral Distortions in AI-Generated Investor Personas: Evidence from Ethical and Cultural Finance Contexts.”

Aryal Has Short Story and Book Chapter |
A short story and a book chapter by Dr. Khem Aryal, associate professor of English, have been published recently. The short story, "Portrait of a Party Man," was published in Weavers Literary Review. The chapter, part of an anthology published by Palgrave Macmillan, argues that creative writing programs must see representation as a vital practice for building a literary culture grounded in empathy, equity and collective transformation. The book is available online.
