Please be aware that CSUN Police Services received a report of immigration enforcement activity near the CSUN campus at approximately 12:40 p.m. on January 29, 2026. DPS responded immediately after receiving the report and confirmed the activity took place near the intersection of Halsted and Etiwanda. Please note: This activity did not take place on the CSUN campus or University property. 

We understand this limited information may raise questions or concerns. Be assured that CSUN is and will remain committed to supporting all members of our campus. Your well-being matters to us, and we want to ensure you have access to resources and information during this time. 

Support Resources Available to You: 

  • Students: University Counseling Services (UCS) offers programs and support services, including 24/7 crisis care. Contact UCS at 818-677-2366. Students with concerns about attending class should contact their instructors.  
  • Employees: LifeMatters Employee Assistance Program (through Empathia) provides confidential counseling, support services, and access to legal resources. 
  • Immigration-Specific Support: The statewide CSU Immigration Legal Services Project offers free immigration legal services to current students, staff, faculty, immediate family members, recent graduates (within two years), and newly admitted students. This service is sponsored by the California Department of Social Services. Our CSUN legal service provider is CARECEN and can be booked online through the CSUN DREAM Center. In addition, CSUN Associated Students (AS) provides free legal support for students through the AS Legal Clinic.
