Dear Colleagues,  

I write with enthusiasm as we arrive at our Workday launch. A best-in-class platform, Workday will streamline and aid work for everyone who currently uses Banner.   

Learning any new system requires patience and practice. I ask that you extend grace to yourself and your teams as we make adjustments and get to know the system’s features and capabilities. Each small step moves us toward long-term success.  

Please consider sending a note of appreciation to our colleagues in IT, UHR, Finance, Payroll, Supply Chain and Budget as well as the representatives on the Change Network. They have shepherded this project with gritty determination for over 18 months and prepared us for a successful transition.

Retroactive Leave for Salaried Employees

Ahead of go-live, salaried employees were instructed not to submit a timesheet in Banner for the June 10-24 pay period. Now that Workday is live, salaried employees will need to enter any leave they took during that pay period in Workday by July 15.

Follow the steps on the Request Absence job aid (pdf) to enter any time taken between June 10-24.

New Workday Support Portal

The Workday support portal is intended for Workday-specific questions. The support team will prioritize issues causing work stoppages with no workaround. This ensures that critical issues are addressed promptly to minimize disruptions.
