Dear Eagle Nation:
This week, we return from Spring Break and turn our focus to finishing the semester on a strong note, and celebrating those who carry the future of Coppin State University – our prospective students, current students, and our soon-to-be alumni.
Gradfest, our one-stop-shop for all things connected to Commencement, will happen on
Wednesday, March 29 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The Class of 2023 will be able to walk the blue and gold carpet, find regalia and accessories, and check off any last-minute details to participate in commencement, in 52 days.

I look forward to sharing more information about Commencement in the coming weeks, including rehearsal dates, tickets, and revealing our keynote speaker.

Coppin State University to Build

Third Residence Hall

Coppin State University is moving closer to building a third residence hall on campus, which will increase capacity for on-campus housing.
The new project will also help boost student retention, support academic success, and enhance the student experience.
“Universities who house more students on campus have higher retention rates, higher graduation rates, higher completion rates, and greater college satisfaction," President Jenkins told the Baltimore Business Journal.
The third residence hall will also allow for an on-campus living requirement for first and second-year students, with some exceptions.
Construction on the third residence hall is expected to begin in 2024.
