Lettuce celebrate… Opening Day is almost here!
We can’t wait to welcome you to our first market of the season this Sunday, May 31! Get ready to visit many of your long-standing favorite farmers and vendors — plus a fresh-picked new crop joining us this season. We truly have the best of the Midwest farmers, artisans and prepared food vendors.
With a vendor roster growing to over 85 vendors strong, no two Sundays will look exactly the same. While you won’t see every vendor every weekend, there will always be something fresh to discover, tasty to try, and new to explore at the Skokie Farmers' Market this season.
And don’t squash your excitement yet…We still have some BIG vendor announcements waiting to ripen! Stay tuned all season long as we continue to harvest exciting updates, fresh faces and market surprises. Trust us — the pick of the crop is still to come.
New this season: Makers Markets! On June 28, July 26, August 23, September 27 and October 25, shop a special Makers Market within the market! These talented artisans will set up in the Village Green area with handmade goods we think you’ll love.
Plus, this season is packed full of weekly kids activities, live bands, and special themed markets! Save the date for Sunday, August 9, when some SUPER special heroes will fly into the market for a day of fun — and that’s just the beginning.
We’re ready to turnip the fun all season long — are you?
If you're looking for a specific vendor at the market and can't find them, please stop by the green Skokie Farmers' Market tent and market staff will point you in the right direction.
We always want to hear from you! Please email us at farmersmarket@skokie.org with any questions!

Meet Your Farmers' Market Staff

Jennifer Engel
Certified Market Manager
This season marks Jennifer’s 6th year leading the Skokie Farmers’ Market, where her passion for local food and community has helped her grow the market. She brings two decades of experience in marketing and community relations from her current role at Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Jennifer’s green thumb is next level—her home garden is basically a farmers market of its own. From corn to potatoes, she grows it all! Ask her about the luffas! (no they don't grow in the ocean!) Jennifer is focused on helping others and is active in many community groups. When she’s off the clock, you’ll likely find her on a trail with her partner Ira and their three rescue pups.

Steve Klebe
Assistant Manager
This is Steve's 5th year at the Skokie Farmers' Market. He is in charge of the Link /Match program, where you'll find him at the Market tent throughout the season. At home, he shares a big yard (complete with a native prairie and woodland garden) with his three rescue dogs.
A big fan of camping and Jimmy Buffett tunes, Steve is excited to be part of the Market this season. He’s looking forward to connecting with both customers and farmers—and picking up a few good gardening tips along the way!
