Workday Learning is Live!

Today, Workday Learning replaces Cornerstone Learning as the central hub for employee training, professional development, and required learning at W&M.

Cornerstone Learning will be disabled for all employees on March 1.

While learning history from the past five years is expected to transfer into Workday Learning by April 1, we strongly recommend that all users download and save a copy of their Cornerstone transcript for personal records as a precaution.

You will still be able to log in to Cornerstone, but access will be limited to Performance content only.

How to Save Your Cornerstone Transcript:

1. Log in to Cornerstone Learning before March 1.

2. Navigate to your Transcript.

3. Download or print a copy for your files. Keeping your own copy ensures you have a complete backup and will be able to confirm course and certification history transitioned properly to Workday.

Spring Feature Release

Workday will undergo an update on Saturday, March 14 as part of a scheduled Feature Release. Workday updates twice a year, ensuring that the system remains current with the latest features, enhancements, and security improvements.

This release introduces new functionalities, enhancements, and corrections aimed at improving your Workday experience. Comprehensive information regarding these updates will be provided in the upcoming edition of the Workday Watch and on the Workday website. Corresponding job aids and training materials will be revised to align with these modifications.

For any inquiries, please contact the Workday Project Team.

Travel Office Transition Update – Effective 2/24

Please note that the Travel Office will operate with reduced staff starting February 24. Assistant Director of Travel Management, LaDonna Brown, will be transitioning from the Travel Office to W&M IT as the new Director of IT Business Services. Processing requests will continue; however, some delays are expected. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition period.

During this period:

  • Workday Travel Expense Support: Please submit a Workday Ticket for all system-related travel and business meal issues.  Tickets will be handled by priority.
  • ‘Standard City’ Addition Requests to Workday: Email Anna Olds directly.
  • Travel or Business Meal Policy Questions: The Travel Policy is updated with all current policies and information. Email Anna Olds directly for additional questions.
  • Lodging or Catering Contract Approvals: Email contracts and required forms to Diane Martz for review and approval.
  • Voyager Card Requests (Fuel Card Program): All Voyager card requests are paused until March 12th. For Voyager-related issues or questions, email voyager@wm.edu.

We appreciate your understanding as we work through this transition and continue to support campus travel needs.

Reminder: Review and Update Your Workday Personal Information

This is a reminder to review your personal information in Workday and ensure all details are accurate and complete. Please make any necessary updates as soon as possible.

To locate your information:

  • Log in to Workday.
  • Select Menu in the top left corner and select the Personal Information application.
  • Under Change, select the Personal Information button and review each section and update any missing or outdated details. If no edits are needed, leave as is.
  • You can also do this by entering Change Personal Data in the Workday search bar to go directly to the task.

Maintaining current information helps support accurate records and smooth internal processes.

Thank you for your attention to this update.

What's Next?

A cross-functional team from academic and student offices recently met with implementation partners to discuss the readiness, engagement, and implementation plan for Workday Student. These conversations mark an important step towards modernizing the student systems at W&M and will help prepare the university for upcoming initiatives. As the planning progresses, we will keep the campus community updated and share more details.
