Telephony Migration Update – RingCentral Transition Progress
Dear Team,
We are pleased to share an update on our ongoing transition from Fuze to RingCentral.
NSM has successfully migrated 851 of 1,630 phone numbers to RingCentral. This migration restores your former Fuze numbers for both calling and texting on the RingCentral platform. The remaining phone numbers are scheduled for conversion on Wednesday, November 12, and additional updates will follow.
To determine whether your number was part of the migration implemented yesterday, please follow the steps below.
How to Confirm if Your Number Was Ported
1. Open the RingCentral (RC) app
2. In the upper left corner, click on your initials to view additional settings. (Figure 1)
3. In the additional settings window, select “View Profile”. (Figure 2)
4. If the number displayed in 'Primary number' matches your former Fuze number, your port is complete. If a different number appears, your Fuze number has not yet been ported. (Figure 3)
If you confirmed your number was ported successfully, please follow the instructions below.
  • Begin using RingCentral exclusively for calls and texts. You no longer need the Fuze application.
  • If you encounter any issues, please submit a helpdesk ticket.
How to Confirm Your Number is Registered for Text Messaging
To verify if your number is registered for texting:
1. Open the RingCentral app
2. Attempt to send a text message
3. If you receive an error message, your number is still pending registration, and you should submit a helpdesk ticket.
Please Note: Text history sent from temporary numbers cannot be retrieved unless previously saved in client work orders.
Once you Have Confirmed Your Number is Registered for Texting
Please Note: If you texted clients using your temporary number, that number is no longer active, and any replies from customers will not be received.
It is recommended that you text any customers that you are awaiting a reply to notify them of the following:
Hi, this is [insert name] from National Seating & Mobility. We have transitioned to a new phone system, and this is my new number. Please discard the prior phone number and start using this new number to text with me.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete this important upgrade to our communications system. We will continue to keep you informed throughout the process.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Helpdesk.
Best regards,
NSM IT & Communications Teams
