East Campus Student Housing Project – Anticipated Road Impacts (July–August)

As work continues on the East Campus Student Housing Project, members of the campus community should expect intermittent traffic impacts in the East Campus area through August 31.

Construction activities may require temporary single-lane road closures on roads including UCen Road, Lagoon Road, Channel Islands Road, and other nearby roadways, as work progresses. These closures will occur only as needed and will vary based on construction activities and field conditions.

During periods of lane closures:

Traffic control personnel (flaggers) will be on site to safely direct vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Please allow extra travel time when driving through the area and follow all posted signage and directions from flaggers.
Access to campus buildings and parking lots will be maintained whenever possible.

Construction schedules are continually being adjusted to minimize impacts to campus operations and prepare for the start of the fall quarter. As a result, the timing and location of traffic impacts may change.
