Dear Parent,
We have been in school for 7 weeks, and besides the very hot weather, it has been a great start. I could not be happier! To say I am grateful does not adequately express my gratitude and appreciation to everyone! Thank you to all!
As we begin our 32nd year, we are proud that St. Vincent de Paul School has been able to offer each student a well-rounded education that is based on strong Catholic beliefs and values. With Christ as our center, we will continue to touch the hearts and minds of our St. Vincent de Paul students now and in the future.
The 29th annual SPREE (Sharing Parish Responsibility for Excellence in Education) will be held on Friday, October 4. SPREE has a long history and tradition of our community coming together to share time, talent, and treasure to support St. Vincent de Paul School. It will be an honor for me to attend my 20th SPREE!

A very special thank you to Blake and Andrea Birkel, Ryan and Stacey Cole, Brandon and Lori Hull, and Travis and Amber Jurgensmeier as the 2024 SPREE General Chairs, and Nancy Maiers, SPREE Project Manager. They all went above and beyond to make this event happen, along with hundreds of volunteers. Everyone’s commitment is a testimony that the St. Vincent de Paul community remains strong and faithful.
If you are new to the school, I would be happy to help you connect with other families to be a part of the evening. Please contact me at school. Everyone can support the raffle. You do not need to be present to win. Gather your friends, family, or co-workers and purchase a ticket or several tickets together. Raffle tickets are $20.00 each or 3 for $50.00. The prizes for the winning tickets are...
First Prize - $2,500.00
Second Prize - $1,000.00
Third Prize - $500.00
Please mark your calendars to enjoy a good time no matter how you chose to participate. We need everyone's help to get to the Winner's Circle!
God bless all of you for your generosity and support.

Arrival Reminder
Students are not to be dropped off in the school parking lot at arrival. Parents need to stay in the drop-off line, and students should only be dropped off in that line. Allowing students to get out of the car in the parking lot slows down the arrival process and is a huge safety issue!
Parents should not stop the flow of traffic in the drop-off line by letting students out of the car where the student should enter the building. Please stay with the flow of traffic. Students can walk to their entrance after getting out of the car.
It is highly recommended and encouraged to drop off all K-8 students in front of the school. Sometimes students are tardy because parents park and walk them to the door.
Dismissal Reminders
When your children reach you in the parking lot at dismissal time, please direct them to enter your vehicle. The teachers remain in the lot until they know all children are accounted for. It is difficult to know if children are accounted for if they are not in their vehicles.
If you need to conference with a teacher, please call or email the teacher to set up a time to do so. While they are in the parking lot at dismissal, the teachers’ first priority needs to be the safety of the children.
Reminder: Students do walk from school going both to the east and to the west. Please be mindful of your speed on Eagle Run Drive. Please also consider turning off your car while waiting for your child(ren).
Preschool Drop Off and Pick-Up: To ensure the safety of our preschoolers, we have asked those families to pull into the drop-off lanes for both arrival and departure from school. The preschoolers will be dropped off after the K-8 drop-off and picked up before our K-8 classes are dismissed.
Morning Sessions Drop-Off: 8:00-8:10
Mid-Day Pick–Up: 11:00
Afternoon Sessions: Drop-Off: 12:20-12:30
Afternoon Pick-Up: 3:00
| Advertisement Opportunity
We have many school families that own area businesses. Because of the size of our school community, you may not even realize that a fellow school parent offers a service that would be of value to you.
As we have done in the past, we will highlight our school parent professionals and their businesses. The advertisements will be in next month's newsletter. If you would like to include information in the next newsletter, please send a business card in one of the following ways:
♦ Call Mrs. Lamphere (Ann) at the school 402-492-2111
♦ With your student in an envelope addressed to the school secretary
If you have advertised in the newsletter in the past and would like to use the same business card, please email Mrs. Lamphere with permission to use that same card for the advertisement.
Each business will be allotted a space the size of a standard business card (2” by 3.5”) and cards need to be received no later than October 13. Businesses will be featured in the November Newsletter. Any questions may be directed to Mrs. Lamphere.
