Dear Eagle Nation:
This week's newsletter is pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast cancer is a disease that is the most common cancer in women in the United States aside from skin cancer, and accounts for one-third of all new cancer diagnoses in women every year.
Breast cancer affects men as well. The American Cancer Society estimates 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in the United States this year.
As a community, Coppin State stands with the survivors and those facing breast cancer, their families, caregivers, and those who offer support. Coppin as we soar academically, we must prioritize our health and well-being.

Through education and support we can increase awareness of breast cancer to empower our loved ones and push for research and treatment that will move us closer to a cure.
