I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at all the Welcome Week activities beginning this week. In addition to events like Commuter Trivia Night and Yoga on the Greens, don't forget to attend your Returning Student Community Meeting on Sunday. Check with your RA for location and other details.
As we come together to celebrate the start of this academic year, let’s remember that Bobcats watch out for each other. Make respect visible in all you do, whether on campus or in the broader community. Our actions — big and small — define the kind of environment we create together, and I know each of you has the power to make a positive impact.

Forget to pack a few things? See if you can find what you need secondhand before buying new. Athens is full of great thrifting and reuse options, like UpCycle Ohio, Community Makerspace, Goodwill, Little Wing, and New-to-You. You can access most of these spots via Athens Public Transit. Don't forget to recycle your cardboard (after breaking your boxes down) and styrofoam as you move in too! Look for drop offs and Bobcats Recycle signs around campus.
