Dear CC Community,

As we begin the spring semester, I’m pleased to share our Winter State of the College update.

This year’s address takes a slightly different approach. Rather than a formal speech, I’m joined in conversation by Student Body President Royce Hinojosa ’26. Together, we reflect on the progress we’ve made so far this academic year, the priorities shaping the months ahead, and the broader forces influencing higher education. I will continue to share these updates twice annually, sometimes varying the format as I’ve done here.

A written transcript of the interview is also available.

My goal in providing information through a variety of channels—State of the College updates, our recent Annual Report, divisional strategic plans and progress reports, and in-person events like our upcoming Spring Conference on Feb. 6—is to empower you to engage meaningfully and take shared responsibility for a thriving CC.

As always, I welcome opportunities to continue the conversation in department meetings and with student groups. If you’d like to arrange a visit, please reach out to the President’s Office at president@coloradocollege.edu.

Thank you for the care, energy, and accountability you bring to Colorado College each day. As always, it is a privilege to lead alongside you.

Warmly,

Manya Whitaker

President
