West Michigan winter is no joke with all the snow and cold breezes. Thankfully, Campus Activities Board (CAB) is hosting several events to keep Lakers warm, happy, and entertained during this year's Winterfest. Check out the line-up of fun activities, including snow globe making, s'mores, and a comedy show, to bring cheer to the last wintery days of the semester.

Finals week can be really difficult, so take some time to unwind with... pups! Stop by the Mary Idema Pew Library or DCIH Library to hang out with trained therapy dogs. Find some comfort amidst the crazy with these furry friends.

Participate in MLK Commemoration Week

To honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., events will be held throughout the week to commemorate his achievements and acknowledge his work. Join the GVSU community and listen to keynote speakers, watch artistic performances, and participate in a silent march in honor of MLK Day. You also have the opportunity to register for the MLK Day of Service and Solidarity to earn service hours and serve your community.

Campus Health Center Hours

Keep yourself safe and healthy this winter with the help of the Campus Health Center. Now through December 19, the facility has walk-in hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8-10 a.m. and is available by appointment only 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. For most up-to-date hours and services, visit the Center for Health and Well-being website.

You don't have to go through tough times alone. The University Counseling Center provides a free online chat service, Togetherall. Togetherall is moderated by mental health professionals and offers a safe space to express yourself with others who get it! Help your fellow Lakers and yourself in the process.
