The Treasury Department is hosting a series of crypto policy roundtables.

Tiffany J. Smith, Partner at WilmerHale, moderated a session during the SEC Crypto Task Force Roundtable last week. 

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Kristin Smith, who has been engaged on crypto issues, may be the only Commissioner in the agency when a new Chair in confirmed. 

CFTC Commissioner Summer Mersinger announced that she is leaving the agency to lead Blockchain Association last week.

CFTC Commissioner Christy Goldsmith Romero also announced that she will step down on May 31.

Acting CFTC Chair Caroline Pham recently shared that she will leave when the Senate confirms Trump's nominee, former Commissioner Brian Quintenz, as Chair. A Senate vote has not been scheduled.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune is expected to call for a vote on the GENIUS Act as early as this evening.

The House Financial Services Committee will hold full committee markups this week and the crypto market structure bill, which was introduced in draft form last week, may be on the schedule.
