All Saints’ Service of Remembrance
3:00 pm • Parlor Courtyard
A service of remembrance will be held outdoors in the Parlor
Courtyard, providing the opportunity to remember all our loved
ones in the great cloud of witnesses. In our worship, we will share communion, light candles and ring a bell to help us remember and give thanks.

• Names to be lifted up will be received ahead of the service,
2:45 – 3:00 p.m., or by sending names to Rev. Stephanie Boaz, sboaz@nashvillewpc.org.
• You are invited to bring a photo of your loved one(s) to this service to place on the
worship table, or to hold.
• If you are in need of support, grief resources or referrals, please contact Stephanie. In
addition, the grief resource library of the Bereavement Ministry Team is housed in her
office for sharing.

In case of rain, the service will be held in the Chapel. The Congregational Care
Bereavement Ministry Team is the sponsor of this service.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses...let us run with
perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of
our faith...." (Hebrews 12:1-2)

Sunday in a Word

We’re talking the text!  Each Tuesday, the pastoral staff discusses the sermon text for the upcoming Sunday, and we publish it each Wednesday in our eBlast and our YouTube channel on Wednesdays.  We invite you to listen in and hear our conversation about God’s Word. The link is provided below, and the sermon text is based on Luke 18:9-14.

In the Beginning Were the Women uncovers the matriarchs,
prophets, and wisdom-keepers who shaped our sacred
story--and the Mother God who empowered them. Claire
K. McKeever-Burgett offers a fresh way of seeing faith, one
that heals old wounds and opens new paths to justice, liberation, and belonging. This is your invitation to discover the divine feminine and claim your place in God’s unfolding story of love.
Next week: John Witvlet, senior scholar and program advisor for university missional initiatives and professor of theology, worship and the arts at Belmont.
