The Group Services team serves Al‑Anon and Alateen groups within the World Service Conference Structure (US [including Puerto Rico], Canada, and Bermuda), including the newly admitted Global Electronic Area. Learn more about their specific areas of responsibility.

This summer, extend a warm hand of support to those seeking help by sharing public outreach materials that embody hope for families and friends of alcoholics. Pamphlets offer information, while DVDs and videos share heartfelt testimonials. Posters and flyers raise awareness and can include local meeting information.

Outreach efforts bring newcomers to Al‑Anon/Alateen and inform professionals who support affected families and friends. Visit the Public Outreach section on al‑anon.org to discover ways you can help spread awareness and encouragement in your community. 

It’s that time again! The Al‑Anon Membership Survey is coming this summer! The survey opens Thursday, June 20, 2024, and runs through Wednesday, July 31, 2024. This is a great service opportunity for all members, including newcomers. Just 15‑20 minutes of your time can serve Al‑Anon Family Groups for many years to come, as this data provides evidence of the effectiveness of our program, which leads to more professional referrals.

Download the flyer for more information on how to participate in the survey, and feel free to email, print, and share with your Area, Intergroup, District, group, or member‑to‑member. “Participation is the key to harmony,” and we are asking for your help to ensure full participation.

Service in recovery is like the third leg of a stool—a necessity for support and balance. As part of Al‑Anon, Alateen invites its members to participate in service at the group, District, and Area levels. How are you ensuring the voices of young members are heard in your Area?

“‘When is the right time?’ I was asked this question recently at a meeting by a young man who felt lost and confused about his spouse’s alcoholism and came to Al‑Anon as his last hope…”

June’s topic is, “Share your experience moving from Alateen to Al‑Anon.”
