Join the Leadership and Volunteer Center, Office for Student Involvement, and the Center for Multicultural Initiatives on Saturday, October 14, at 9am for a day of volunteering. We are going off campus to volunteer in the local communities to do different service projects. Something new: There will be a $250 scholarship awarded to one OU student who participates in this year's Make A Difference Day. All volunteers are eligible for the scholarship if you work from 9am to 1pm and submit a selfie of your participation at the volunteer site you are assigned.

New Winter Course -- PHY 4905 Special Topics: Cancer and Pre-clinical Physics
Upcoming Winter 2024 semester, PHY 4905 Special Topics: Cancer and Pre-clinical Physics.
The course will focus on the biology of cancer, causes of cancer, chemotherapy, radiation biology, surgery, and medical imaging. Pre-health students will find the course particularly informative, but any student should be interested in taking this course. The syllabus and links to some power points are below. Even though this is an upper level physics course, this course will presume only basic algebra skills. Students with any introductory university level science course will be adequately prepared. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Prof. Steffan Puwal, smpuwal2@oakland.edu.
