Gratitude in the Wake of the Storm

In the aftermath of the recent tornadoes that swept through Tennessee, we are incredibly moved by the collaborative efforts taking place throughout our community.
In the face of adversity, it has been truly inspiring to see organizations, individuals, and businesses coming together to provide support, comfort, and resources to our fellow community members impacted by these storms. The spirit of compassion that defines our community is a testament to the strength and resilience of its people.
For that, we just want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU for all you are doing to support our community's citizens during their time of loss. Thank you for being the heartbeat of our community.

| We are excited to share that Dorian Hines, Partner Services Manager, for Tennessee Nonprofit Network has relocated to Nashville to support our Middle Tennessee nonprofits!
Tennessee Nonprofit Network serves the nonprofit community in Tennessee by connecting nonprofits to resources, decision-making forums, and each other. This organization recently expanded statewide and will serve the business interests of Tennessee's nonprofit sector. To learn more about their recent statewide expansion, click here.

Does your organization operate on a July to June fiscal year?
If the answer is yes, we want to share a gentle reminder that most organizations have Charitable Solicitations permits that are due for renewal soon, December 31, 2023.
Since this process has changed at the Secretary of State's office (as of October 2022), we've provided the training video created by their office above. For other available training resources, check out the State's site here.
If your organization is not ready to process your renewal, you will need to request an extension before your current permit expires.
The process for requesting an extension is fairly simple, but the State will not grant extension requests after your expiration date has passed. To request an extension, simply log into the Charity and Business Filing System here, choose "Charity Filings," then Apply for Extension, and complete the details requested by the State's site.
Once you have your renewed permit or received your permit extension approval email, don't forget to upload those to your GivingMatters.com profile. We are here to help if you have any questions!

As the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for the meaningful service to our community, the inspiring stories you have shared, the sincerity in your feedback, the bravery in your vulnerability, and your incredible commitment to making a difference in Middle Tennessee.
In the spirit of joy, gratitude, & a well-deserved rest, our team will be taking some time to recharge and spend quality time with their loved ones. During this period, our offices will be closed from Monday, December 25th to Monday, January 1st.

From now until January 31, 2024, residents of Davidson and bordering counties, including Cheatham, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson, are invited to access the Museum’s exhibits, programs, and more for daily pay-what-you-want admission rates—plus, the Museum is open late Tuesdays, January 2, 9, 16, and 23 for special programs.
