Nominate Outstanding Leaders for the Heartwood Trophies

Each year, CC’s President’s Leadership Awards recognize four colleagues who exemplify leadership, service, innovation, courage, collaboration, community building, and diversity and inclusion. The awards are represented by unique Heartwood Trophies, crafted from reclaimed wood from trees removed during Tutt Library's construction. These trophies symbolize both our people's remarkable contributions and our connection to place. Recipient names are engraved in the wood’s growth rings, and each honoree holds a trophy for one year.

In addition to this recognition, the trophies have become a symbol of inspiration and connection across campus. Past recipients have shared that the trophies not only celebrate achievement, but also spark meaningful conversations, foster connections among colleagues, and serve as a lasting reminder of leadership’s impact at CC.

As part of our commitment to fostering workplace excellence, we invite you to help recognize those making a difference at CC. Learn more about the program and nomination criteria on the President’s Leadership Awards website. Nominations are due by Friday, Oct. 31.
