The St. B's Justice Ministries is excited to offer The Nashville You Need to Know on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. in Wallace Hall starting this Sunday, Oct. 20. Come and learn from our guest speakers about pressing issues for our most under-served and marginalized neighbors and how we can engage with these issues to better love our neighbors. If you miss a session, you can request the video of the class from the church front office.

The RITI ministry is also collecting gently-used, light-weight, reusable water bottles to offer our RITI guests so they can have more consistent access to water. WHAT'S NEW IN THE KITCHEN?
The St. B's Creation Care Committee and Fellowship Committee have purchased reusable, dishwasher-safe plastic cups for all our needs! You'll see them out on Sunday mornings; at our receptions and parties; and whenever you are at church for a meeting or pickleball. Many thanks to all the volunteers who made space in our kitchen and closets for the new supply of cups!

Our Sunday morning coffee comes to us from Humphrey Street, a local social-enterprise that develops teens in under-resourced areas of Nashville through workplace readiness programs. You can buy your own coffee from them and 100% of the profits go to their programming and scholarships. Humphrey Street is part of Harvest Hands, a Christian community development organization, which also offers after-school programs and youth sports teams in South Nashville.

Ever wondered what makes a social enterprise different from a non-profit? This article from Forbes and this article from The Harvard Business Review describe successful social enterprises around the world (including India, Brazil, the U.S.) that seek to identify and bring about potentially transformative societal change.
