Helping Nashville’s Children Find Stability When Housing Falls Out of Reach
Nearly 4,500 children enrolled in Metro Nashville Public Schools have no reliable place to call home, a 27 percent increase from the previous year. For many families, homelessness does not look like what people expect. It can mean living in a motel, doubling up with relatives, or sleeping in a car while trying to keep children enrolled in school. It is often hidden, and the issue is growing. Home Together Nashville, in partnership with the Community Foundation, focuses on helping families with school-aged children move from unstable living situations into consistent, safe housing while keeping children connected to their schools and support systems. Sunday night worship spaces are open to the whole congregation and will provide youth with another unique space
to receive and lead in worship.

Two-year olds, 3-year-olds, 4s and 5s, and kindergarten
These children will go directly to their rooms for Sunday School.
First, 2nd, and 3rd grades go directly to the Chapel and will be picked up on the Wilson wing.
Fourth and 5th grades go upstairs to their classrooms on the second floor of the Wilson wing. Sign-in sheets are at the bottom of the stairs.

The Pastor Nominating Committee has been spending these early weeks getting to know one another and prayerfully preparing for the work ahead. The 11 appointed church members are developing an engaging communication plan with the congregation, committees and staff. They will soon meet with the Visioning and Transition Teams to learn from the thoughtful work they have done in preparing the Mission Study, which draws upon the surveys completed during this summer’s congregational meetings. That work will launch the next phase of the PNC's process and provide the foundation for Westminster’s Ministry Profile that will tell the story of who we are and guide us as we seek the next senior pastor God is calling to Westminster.
