An Improved Donor Experience
Thank you for your commitment to the American Red Cross’ mission to ease human suffering. As a sponsor, a volunteer, or a blood donor, your experience is greatly valued. The American Red Cross is excited to announce that starting on February 17, 2025 in our Tennessee Region, we will begin a new enhanced donor experience! The donation process will remain the same, but how we measure vital signs to ensure donors are healthy at the time of the donation has changed.
What Does This Mean?

The Red Cross is eliminating the finger stick by transitioning to a new device, a ring-shaped sensor that fits onto your finger to measure your hemoglobin levels.

We will also use automated devices to measure your temperature, blood pressure and pulse rate, replacing more manual devices.
These new devices will not only improve the donation experience but will also help the Red Cross reduce its environmental impact by significantly decreasing the use of disposable medical supplies.
Make your appointment today. We are only halfway to our goal!

For more info, or to make an appointment, please contact Kris Pardue.

Every Member Has A Mission

We believe that every member has a mission.
We have many ways for you to build friendships
while living out God's Word.

As we approach the Lenten season for 2025, we encourage each member to ponder this bold approach of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Lent is a 40-day period beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Tradition has often suggested that we ‘give up something’ for Lent.
The Westminster Hands on Mission Committee suggests all of us examine the Great Commandment that Jesus said: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your heart, your soul and your mind and the second commandment is like it:  Love your neighbor as yourself.”
• Consider a neighbor, a stranger, or someone who needs you beyond those whom you usually help and support.
• Talk within a group where you participate at Westminster. Is there an activity that reaches out to others you might assist or who are otherwise alone?
• Consider people who don’t know, how can you help?
• Hands on Mission serves 26 organizations – can you join in helping one you don’t know?
• Congregation Care serves many people in our congregation who are alone, can you help?
