Values-Led Growth in a Changing City

by Emily Taylor
In Oklahoma City’s fast-moving landscape, it’s not enough to ask what we can build next — we must ask who we want to become. For organizations like our club, the question of identity is essential. Anchored by “Service Above Self” and the Four‑Way Test (“Is it truth? Is it fair? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”) we have a framework for growth built on values, not just volume.

City growth, creative industry expansion, talent wars, and civic reinvention—all demand more than ambition. They demand authenticity. When Rotary brings together business leadership, creative sectors, education, and service, we move beyond networking into shaping a future defined by integrity and impact.

Here are three strategic actions we can embrace now:

Anchor values in action: Make the Four-Way Test our decision filter for projects, partnerships and communication.

December 2025 District News

As Rotary Foundation Month ends, District 5750 has much to celebrate. Throughout November, our clubs have stepped up with generosity, energy, and purpose. Whether through contributions to The Rotary Foundation, storytelling that highlighted the impact of Foundation grants, or continued commitment to PolioPlus, our district demonstrated once again that service isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. The Rotary Foundation is the engine behind so many of the projects that change lives in our communities and across the world. Because of your support, children are protected from preventable diseases, families have access to clean water and sanitation, communities receive maternal and child health resources, and countless individuals benefit from district and global grants. Foundation Month may be ending, but the ripple effect of your contributions continues all year long. Thank you for living the spirit of Service Above Self in everything you’ve done this month.  READ MORE
