FRIENDS, 2023 HAS BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR HERE AT SPRINGWATER CENTER.

Changes in staff, the passing of Susan Schepp, and implementing more opportunities to attend retreats online has meant that staff, teachers and trustees have had to meet situations with compassion, flexibility and a creative approach. This has included taking on extra work; patching together help from volunteers and temporary employees; keeping daily life, events and retreats happening while continuing to maintain and improve the buildings and grounds. 

Throughout the year, it’s been comforting to know that members and friends are sustaining the Center’s many activities with their membership dues and donations.

The 2024 Calendar of Events is now available on the website. There’s a wide variety of ways to take part in the meditative work. Please keep in mind that in-person retreats and All-Day Sittings tend to fill early. 

In 2024 the Center will again offer shared rooms in retreat, limited in number, and at a lower rate than single rooms.

There will be rate increases in 2024 for guest and Quiet Week stays, but if your guest stay request is received and paid for before mid-December, you will receive the existing rate. 

This is the first year the Center is undertaking its annual appeal online. Please visit the Give page of the website or use the button below to become a member, make a donation or learn ways to support the Center in the future.
