Dear colleagues,

We welcome you to the beginning of Trauma Speaker Series V, which will highlight the care of injured children in the setting of a disaster situation. This series is being held in partnership with Region V for Kids, a federally funded consortium comprised of ten other children's hospitals within the states of Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

We'll use case-based scenarios and moderated discussion to highlight care considerations for pediatric patients during a mass casualty incident. Areas of focus for this series include scene triage, care in the emergency department, considerations for children with special needs, and self-care for clinicians during and following a disaster.
