Join us as we distribute 40,000 pounds (or 20 tons) of sweet potatoes to our hungry neighbors in Middle Tennessee. WE NEED YOU!

We are doing a MAJOR membership directory update project, and we need your help to stay connected.
Please click the links below to share basic information with us for the directory, or fill out the pew card and drop it in the offering plate on Sunday.

Also, we are seeking updated photos of all members/couples/families. If you take a photo at the Easter flower cross in front of the Sanctuary on April 20, send us that one!
If you prefer to send in a photo directly, or to gain access to the online church membership directory, please contact Hannah Boles, Membership Secretary, hboles@ nashvillewpc.org; 615-292-5526.  We would also love for you to let us know if you would like a printed church directory when they become available in early fall.
Sunday, April 13, we will have photographers available between services in the Parlor, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. and at 12:00 p.m. following the 11:00 a.m. service, if you would like us to take a photo for you for the directory.

Covenant Class • Fellowship Hall

Keeping Sacred Time: An Exploration of Life’s Rhythms

What rhythms are driving your life? This Covenant Class series
is an invitation to look closely at this question and explore the
sacred rhythms woven into the world today. The Lenten season
offers a unique opportunity to examine one’s practices, habits, and daily routines, and to shift focus toward deeper alignment with God. Together, we’ll examine how these rhythms— both individual and collective—can guide us toward deeper connection with God and towards lives of deeper compassion for ourselves and others.

Today, Dr. Andy Watts will present on soul-centric life rhythms in a rhythmless society, referencing Christian mysticism, indigenous practices, and eco-psychological human development. Dr. Watts is a Professor of Religion at Belmont.

LIVING AS THOSE PREPARED TO DIE, DYING AS THOSE PREPARED TO LIVE

Our faith calls us to affirm that "(i)n life and in death we belong to God" (PCUSA Brief Statement of Faith).

Dr. Tiffany Hines and Rev. Heidi Hudnut-Beumler will provide the third class in the Congregational Care series on preparing for end-of-life. How to plan a memorial service celebrating life and witnessing to the resurrection will be covered, as well as how to talk with your family about advance directives and understanding palliative/hospice care.
Resources will be shared, and the class format will include plenty of time for discussion and questions. If you are unable to join us but would like to receive resources, please be in touch with Heidi, hhudnutbeumler@nashvillewpc.org.

Story-Telling and the Bible
How often do you and your kids pick up a Bible? How often do you tell stories from the Bible to your kid(s)? How many stories from the bible do you know?? Why is storytelling even important in the first place?
This four-week series will lead us into deeply rich and deeply practical conversations about scripture, storytelling as it relates to the Bible, and why they matter for us and our kids. We'll talk about our own experiences with scripture and hopes we have for our kids as they grow and think through really tangible ways to move deeper into a relationship with scripture as a family. Promise this will be worth your time. Plan to join us!

Practicing Together
Wondering what to do this Lent? Tired of just giving up
chocolate? Wonder no more. Join us this Lent for an
intergenerational Sunday School class exploring spiritual
formation. This class will learn about a variety of spiritual
practices across four Sundays, including Lectio Divina,
Sabbath, Anam Cara, the Examen, and Visual Prayer. Not
only will we be introduced to these disciplines and practice
them in class, but we’ll also discuss how they can help us meaningfully engage in Holy Week and prepare us for the world-changing good news of Easter. This class is
intentionally intergenerational, and all ages from youth and up are welcome! Don’t just give up chocolate this year, add our intergenerational spiritual formation class as your
Lenten practice this year. Invite an (intergenerational) friend to join you! Led by Adam DeVries and Will Wellman.

5:00 p.m. • Spring Parent Gathering at the Orndorff's home. Contact Hannah Norris, hnorris@nashvillewpc.org, for more info.
