UCO Bronchovision: Student Films Take the Spotlight, May 1 |
UCO's Department of Mass Communication will host Bronchovision, a showcase of student-produced short films, beginning at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 1, in the Communications building, Room 120. Admission is free and pizza will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bronchovision celebrates the achievements of UCO students, several of whom have earned prestigious awards this year. Two student-led productions each received an Award of Excellence at the 2025 Broadcast Education Association Media Arts Festival, while multiple others were recognized by the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association.

UCO Calendar Update: Fall Break |
Fall break for the 2025-26 academic year has been updated on the campus calendar. Fall break will be Oct. 16-17. You can find the updated academic calendar online.

UCO Football Season Tickets |
UCO Football offers season tickets for the club level, reserved chair backs in sections 103, 105 and 204, as well as box seats in section 104 that includes in-seat concession options.
The renewal period for previous season ticket holders is open through May 9. Previous season ticket holders will receive a renewal email through HomeTown Ticketing.
Fans can join the waitlist for new season tickets by calling UCO Athletics at 405-974-2500. Any new available inventory will go on sale May 10.
UCO will have six home games this fall against Pittsburg State, Washburn, Central Missouri, Emporia State, Northeastern State and Missouri Southern.

| AIAA/ASME Symposium at UCO
|
The 43rd Oklahoma Sectional Symposium of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) was hosted for the first time on UCO's campus, April 19. Every engineering program, both public and private, from across the state was represented, the first time that all programs were represented at this meeting. There were 65 attendees and 38 presentations in this critical area of workforce development and UCO was able to show off its STEM building and Makerspace with the help of Evan Lemley, Ph.D., director of the UCO School of Engineering.

The UCO Student Alliance for Equality (SAFE) will host a night of food, dancing, camaraderie and nostalgia from 7-10 p.m., Friday, April 25, at Central Plaza, 930 E. Second St., Edmond. The event is open to all and guests are encouraged. All UCO faculty, staff and students get in free and can register online. Off-campus guest cost is $10 and can be purchased online.

'Central Dissent' Submissions Now Open |
The UCO Women's Research and BGLTQ+ Student Center and New Plains Student Publishing are now accepting submissions for the 2025 edition of "Central Dissent: A Journal of Gender and Sexuality."
Submission categories include poetry, prose, fiction, scholarly media reviews, essays, creative nonfiction and visual art. The deadline to submit a piece to the journal is Thursday, May 15.
