Hello Students,

Welcome back to campus for four more blocks of learning, exploration, and togetherness. Maintaining good health is imperative to achieving our goals, both in and out of the classroom. There are several resources available to you at CC to promote your overall wellness and to provide assistance when you are feeling under the weather.

The cold and flu season in Colorado is already under way, with higher than average cases of severe flu. The best behaviors to prevent catching and spreading illness are to wash your hands, wear a mask around others, frequently clean high-touch surfaces, and stay up to date with annual vaccines, including the influenza (flu) and COVID vaccines. Prioritizing sleep, nutrition, and hydration are also important in preventing illness.

Our Wellness Resource Center has free supplies, including masks, hand sanitizer, sleep masks, and ear plugs. The C Store, conveniently located on the first floor of Mathias Hall, has over-the-counter flu and COVID tests and medications available for purchase.

If you are experiencing symptoms, including fever, fatigue, cough, sore throat and muscle aches, our on-campus Student Health Center is available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., for both in person and telehealth visits. Please call (719) 389-6384 to make an appointment. Visit our website for information about after-hours options, including Virtual Urgent Care.

We thank you all for your continued commitment to the health of our campus!

With gratitude, in community, and in good health,

Janelle Taylor

AVP of Wellness
