I hope your student is getting a chance to get ahead on classes, gain experience through an internship, take some well-deserved rest, and most importantly, time to connect with you this summer.
If your student is in Athens, there's plenty happening over the next few months, and we're already planning an exciting fall semester. You'll hear from me as I share important reminders, move-in tips, and Welcome Week updates later this summer. You can also stay up-to-date through the official Parent & Family Facebook page.
Enjoy this summer season!

This festival is all about celebrating freedom, resilience, history, and the power of community — and everyone is welcome. This year's festival is being hosted in collaboration with community partners. Take a Heritage Square Black History Tour with Mount Zion at 10 a.m. (registration required), and join the celebration at Richland Avenue Park from 1-4 p.m.
Honor Juneteenth through service — students can volunteer and help create a space for learning, celebration, reflection and community connection.

Encourage your student to make a well-being plan |
It's never too early for students to start thinking about how to take care of themselves when fall semester begins. They should consider making time to recharge, seek out basic needs support when they need it, get outside, or get involved with a new student org. Encourage them to take time to make a plan now so they can thrive in August.
