Join Baltimore-area Quakers and the Centarl Maryland Eccumental Counsel invite you to a special event at Homewood Friends Meeting on April 23rd at 7:15pm. In Fierce Vulnerability, activist and author Kazu Haga offers a new way to create healing by combining the time-honored lineage of nonviolent action with the sciences of trauma healing and the promises of spiritual practice. Fierce Vulnerability realizes we can’t “shut down” injustice any more than we can “shut down” trauma; if healing is our goal, we need social movements that center relationship.

Holding Pendle Hill in the Light
On April 4th, a devastating storm swept through the Pendle Hill campus in Pennsylvania. 52 trees were either fallen or sustained damage to the point that removal is required. Upmeads, Waysmeet, Harding House, Chace, Firbank, and the Maintenance Shop all suffered broken windows, torn siding, crushed gutters, and/or critically damaged roofs. Thankfully, and miraculously, none of the historic buildings sustained irreparable structural damage and no persons were injured. Our Friends at Pendle Hill ask for your continued prayers and are accepting donations to help with the recovery.
