On Sunday, January 19, COE attended the 43rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Harbor Drive to educate attendees on the importance of health and cancer prevention. Meanwhile, at the Borderview YMCA, COE Liaison Alexia Barrientos conducted a Cancer 101 that addressed cervical cancer, cancer awareness, early detection, and community resources. In addition, COE completed the LGBTQIA+ health needs assessment at the Lavender Welcome at MiraCosta College. COE not only thanks everyone who participated to help improve community health efforts, but also remains committed to promoting health equity, fostering community engagement, and addressing the unique needs of the Moores catchment area.
