Voices of Inner Strength Gopsel Choir Spring Update
Dear Emory Alumni and Generous Donors,
Greetings to you as we embark on another spring semester at Emory University. Students have returned and everyone has started the new year with great focus and energy.
Particularly, the Voices of Inner Strength Gospel Choir has already started preparing for some events that we hope will interest you.
  • Our Annual Spring Concert will be Saturday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. in Cannon Chapel.
  • Other notable events include Midweek Musical Meditations with Maury Allums scheduled every Wednesday from 12-12:15 p.m., which you can sign up for here or watch on Facebook Live.
  • We will have Ash Wednesday service on March 2 and Holy Week services including Palm Sunday April 10, Good Friday April 15, and Easter April 17.
  • Finally, please mark your calendars for the Emory Day of Giving (EDOG) on March 30-31.
We are so grateful for the outpouring of your financial support and your role in bringing us closer to our program endowment goal. Thanks be to those who have given so far, helping us reach only $40,000 from our goal to have the VOIS program endowed forever. This Day of Giving is an opportunity for us to give the remainder amount we need to finish the endowment drive. Certainly, without you, this would not be possible.
As always, please visit our website for the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life for other news and to sign up for our weekly newsletter. We wish you many blessings in the new year and as winter turns to spring.
Sincerely yours,
Maury Allums

VOIS Endowment Campaign Update:
We are so excited to share that the VOIS Endowment Campaign to make VOIS a permanently-funded part of Emory spiritual life has crossed the threshold of $60,000 in generous pledges and donations. Our goal is to reach $100,000 by August 31, 2022 in order to endow this program.
Gifts can be made in the form of monthly pledges over a five year period. If you are interested in making a leadership gift of $10,000, $5000, or $2500, please contact Dean McGonigle at religiouslife@emory.edu.
All contributions are valuable and can be made to the fund called “Voice Choir Service Project” at this link. Thank you for your ongoing support as we make the VOIS spiritual community a part of Emory forever.
