The annual DCHS athletic department reunion breakfast took place on Saturday, May 17, with several alumni, former coaches, and staff members in attendance. The event was started in 2010 by Coach Ron Gray '73 and longtime athletic trainer, Del Lark.

The 4th Annual St. Joseph Academy Alumnae Mass was held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in the St. Joseph Chapel at DCHS. Thank you to Fr. John Ludwig '66 for celebrating Mass with us, and to all our SJA alumnae who attended both the Mass and the reception that followed. Mark your calendars for next year’s celebration: Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Stephanie Rash '23, a University of St. Thomas student studying in Rome, was a reader on Palm Sunday at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. She was also present in St. Peter's Square for the funeral of Pope Francis and Pope Leo's first appearance. Watch a broadcast of the Mass here. Rash is pursuing a double major in Catholic Studies and Digital Marketing and is studying in Rome as part of her Catholic Studies curriculum.

Congratulations to Dr. Emily Glaser Rossin ‘08 who was inducted into the DCHS Performing Arts Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 3, 2025. An all-state clarinet player and drum major at DCHS, she went on to earn her Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Kansas. Before pursuing her doctorate, she taught music across all grade levels, including undergraduate courses. She has published her work and shares her expertise, presenting at both national and local conferences. A NAfME member and clarinetist in the Crossroads Wind Symphony, she continues to inspire through her passion for music.

On May 6, the DCHS student body gathered at the Maroon Memorial and processed with a statue of the Blessed Mother around campus and into the gym for our annual May Crowning celebration. The ceremony included the blessing of the crowns that adorn the statues of Mary throughout campus. A special thank you to Candy (Carter) Saluri ’64 SJA for joining us to crown Mary as we continue this meaningful tradition that began at St. Joseph Academy.

This will be their last year, and we are seeking at least one couple to take their place as event co-chairs. Work alongside the Damges to learn the ropes in 2025 before taking over as chairs in 2026.
