March Milestones

We've passed an important milestone this March. We each did our part to offer a safe and fun season despite the many challenges we all faced. There's still some season left, so we can't be complacent on our safety guidelines that have brought us this far into the 2020-21 season safely. There's also still time to enjoy the season with your coworkers by taking part in Milk Runs on weekends or joining us this Saturday to have some virtual fun with the first-ever Clock Tower vs. Jackson Gore trivia match. Keep reading on to get the details on how to join a Milk Run and trivia. Please continue to take care of yourselves while on the hill for work and outside of work to finish strong this season.

We continue to see strong midweek visitation and those visitors want to take lessons with us! If you are looking to teach additional days, please reach out to your Supervisor or Manager.

Uniform Returns

All employees are required to return all parts of the uniform. If you are returning to work with us next season, you will be reissued a uniform when you return. Please read through the guidelines below to make sure you understand the requirements expected of you as employees at the end of your season.

Uniforms must be returned within 3 days of your end date.
All uniforms must be returned to the uniform department at the Cole House only.
- The breezeway for access to the return window is now open 24/7 for returns.
Each employee is responsible for the return of their uniform. Not a manager, supervisor, or coworker.
If possible please wash your uniform before returning them. Nikwax is available here in the uniform department breezeway 24/7 or from your Manager. You can read more about uniform care instructions if you're washing before returning.
Check all pockets make sure all are empty.
When dropping off uniform please fold items before placing through the drop slot.
A failure to return ALL uniform items will result in FEE for each item. The employee will receive a bill.
A fee will be charged for items damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear.
Employees who owe payment will be considered not eligible for rehire until payment is received.

If you have questions, please reach out to your supervisor or manager. Thank you for your attention to your uniforms as you prepare to end your season with us.

Team Virtual Trivia

Represent your Ski & Ride location in our first team virtual trivia night this Saturday, March 20 at 7 pm. It's Jackson Gore vs. Clock Tower, so bring your game face! We'll see you virtually on 3/20 using the link below!

Update Your Mailing Address

Before you wrap up your season with us, please remember to log in to EpicEmployee to check that your mailing address is up-to-date. This mailing address is important for any remaining paper checks or bonuses that will be sent out by USPS after the season ends. To update your addresses, please use the self-service options in EpicEmployee. If you have questions, you can refer to this article to update your personal information.

Congratulations New PSIA/AASI Members

Congratulations to the Ski & Ride instructors who passed their Alpine and Snowboard Level 1 exams at Okemo on 3/13 & 3/14! We had 28 total instructors (22 skiers and 6 snowboarders) join PSIA/AASI - congratulations!

Milk Runs

Remember to take advantage of our weekend Milk Runs to get your early turns in before the lifts spin for the public! Milk Runs are scheduled on Saturdays for the remainder of the season.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

"A Conversation on Inclusion: Henri Rivers, the National Brotherhood of Skiers"

The first-ever “mini-episode” of Epic By Nature, features a conversation between Pat Campbell, president of our Mountain Division, and Henri Rivers, president of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS). Typically, our Epic By Nature podcast shares and celebrates the hero’s journey of our employees, however in recognition of Black History Month in February, we are using the platform to invite Henri to discuss the history and mission of the NBS, the current barriers to inclusivity in snow sports and the partnership required between our two organizations.

EpicPromise Challenge

Get involved with EpicPromise through the EpicPromise Challenge! This is a great way to connect with EpicPromise and fellow employees! There are 12 objectives in total with sweet prizes available like skis, gloves, on-mountain lunches, and gift cards. The challenge started on February 16 and ends March 21.

EpicPromise Foundation Fundraising

Purchasing a brand new EpicPromise Foundation mask protects you and supports your coworkers in need. Employees can purchase a mask through a payroll donation or credit card by logging into YourCause with their employee ID. Once you purchase your mask, you may email Chris Saylor at cnsaylor@vailresorts.com to arrange a pick-up.

All proceeds benefit the EpicPromise Employee Foundation, which provides grants for all employees.
