As the year draws to a close, we look back over the year filled with many of your successes.


In 2024, UT Health Science Center: 

Bridge Lighting

Celebrated the strength of the UT mission and our systemwide presence and role by lighting up Memphis orange for a night

Vols Watch Party

Strengthened statewide campus culture with Town Halls, improved shared governance among administrative leaders, faculty, staff, and students, and celebrated as One UT with the first-ever Vols Watch Party

Honored 100 outstanding faculty members who received promotion and tenure

Graduated a total of 989 new health care professionals in May, August, and December

Increased philanthropic giving, raising $664,850 and exceeding the goal of 1,000 donors in 24 hours for Giving Day

Named a new vice chancellor for Research and dean of the College of Dentistry

Delivered outstanding community care with health hubs, rural dental clinics, and a Nursing Mobile Health Unit

Received clinical honors with three of six Health Care Heroes winners and 17 of the 26 finalists (65%) associated with the university.
