Curtain McCall: Country Music Hall of Fame Museum Assoc. Dir./Editorial Michael McCall will retire at the end of the year after more than 20 years. "From the beginning of his tenure, Michael’s impressive journalistic sensibilities helped to establish the museum’s editorial voice,” says CEO Kyle Young. Adds McCall, "Working [here] has been the greatest honor of a career that overshot any of my dreams." Since joining the museum in 2006, McCall has curated or co-curated more than 20 museum exhibitions, hosted many museum programs, co-edited the second edition of the Encyclopedia of Country Music and authored a book on the museum's archival collection. His last day is Dec. 31.

Hakim's Team: Saga/Charleston, SC Dir./Sales John Hakim has been upped to GM for the cluster that includes WCKN. He succeeds former Pres./GM Paul O'Malley, who was promoted to corporate SVP/Revenue Development in July (CAT 7/22). Hakim had been in his sales role with the cluster since 2021, following previous stints at Cox, Apex and iHeartMedia.

Additionally, RHA has added six to its team: Mgr./Digital Marketing & Artist Development Alyssa Lawson, Dir./A&R TC Courtney, Coord./Management & A&R Coordinator Ian Camaione, Graphic Designer Kyle Adams, Office Mgr./Exec. Asst. Taylor Robinson and JJ Garcia fills Kash’s previous role. Air Apparents: Applications are being accepted for the Lisa McKay Women in Radio Scholarship. Created in honor of the late radio programmer, the scholarship gives three recipients registration for CRS 2027 (March 17-19 in Nashville), as well as hotel accommodations and airfare. Eligible applicants must be either a female college senior studying broadcast communications who is involved in radio programming or a female professional with one-to-three years of experience as a PD, APD or MD, as well as a first-time CRS attendee. Apply by Oct. 22 here.
The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation has issued a call for entries for its 52nd annual Gracie Awards, which recognize outstanding programming and individual achievement created by, for and about women across television, streaming, radio, podcasting and digital media. Enter here by Jan. 21. National winners will be recognized at the Gracies Gala May 25 in Beverly Hills; local and student winners will be honored at the Gracies Luncheon June 15 in New York.
