The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is reviewing the password management needs of the campus and what employees are currently using to meet that need. Complete the Password Management Survey by Friday, May 19.

| Huffaker transitions to research and innovation
|
Diana Huffaker, chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, will take the newly-developed position of associate vice president for research and innovation starting June 1. Dr. Huffaker's diverse experiences as an academic leader will strengthen UTA's research impact as a Carnegie R-1 Institution.

Faculty and staff are eligible to receive free rides on the Arlington RAPID self-driving shuttles for a limited time. Log in to the Via app with your UTA email, then request a ride in the downtown or campus service zone during normal operating hours Monday-Friday, 12-6 p.m.

A current remote work agreement is required for anyone who works remotely or is planning to participate in the flexible summer hours program. Summer remote work agreements are due before Monday, June 5, and the form should be updated every time there is a change to your remote work hours or upon expiration. Thursday, May 25, OIT will remotely install Nessus, a security scanning tool, on all UTA-owned devices. You will not notice any changes to your device after installation. Nessus will silently perform periodic security scans. If you believe installing Nessus will interfere with your job duties, submit a security exception request.

The Office of Information Technology is updating UTA’s network infrastructure across campus. The project involves building-by-building activity after regular business hours. To view when your building is impacted, visit the project website, which will be updated as the project progresses.
