|
The electrical strain relief component plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and longevity of cables connected to the EL/RS units. The strain relief serves as a protective measure against mechanical stress and strain on the cables connected to the unit. Over time, environmental factors, repeated movements, and other stresses can lead to cable wear and potential damage, compromising the functionality and safety of the EL/RS unit.
We have been supplying a strain relief plate in the accessory parts/documentation bag along with the steam hose. The intent is to allow easier installation by allowing electricians to pass wires through freely and then install the plate onto the humidifier when they are ready.
It has come to our attention that installers sometimes omit this part from the installation and leave wires freely hanging, or leave this part of the cabinet open. We would like to draw your attention to the strain relief component's importance in the EL/RS units and ask that you ensure it is installed if not already in place.

IMPORTANCE OF STRAIN RELIEF
|
-
Prevention of Cable Damage: The strain relief part is specifically designed to absorb and distribute mechanical stress on the cables, preventing damage such as fraying, kinking, or detachment.
- Enhanced Safety: Proper strain relief ensures that electrical connections remain secure, reducing the risk of electrical shorts, malfunctions, or other safety hazards.
- Extended Product Life: By installing the strain relief part correctly, you contribute to the overall durability and longevity of your EL/RS unit, protecting your investment and minimizing the need for repairs or replacements.
|
Ensure the strain relief is installed as it plays a crucial role in maintaining electrical safety standards, and it is imperative to ensure its proper installation and functionality. If it is not currently installed on your unit, we kindly request that you prioritize its installation at your next service appointment.
