Have Ghosts of Technology Past?
With Halloween coming up, it's a good time to consider what's lurking in the shadows of your attic or basement. Are there dusty old cell phones or tablets? Provided you've erased all personal information, you can bring those devices to our Carroll location and we would be happy to recycle them for you. Don't throw them out with the trash, since they often contain toxic substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium, which can be scary. |

Celebrating Our October Workiversaries!
This month, we're recognizing three members of the Western Iowa Networks team who are celebrating work anniversaries!
Western Iowa Networks was proud to sponsor the Tailgate Zone at this year's Tri-City BBQ Fest in Denison! Festival-goers enjoyed a place to relax, grab a bite, and catch college football games on the big screen TVs—all while taking in the sights, sounds, and flavors of the event. We were thrilled to help create a fun spot for fans to kick back and enjoy the day! 
Western Iowa Networks was excited to be part of this year’s Glenwood Homecoming Parade again this year! With such a huge crowd every year, we love waving, cheering, and celebrating with the community. We had a great time spreading some WIN spirit!

WIN Breaks Ground on New Southern Operations Facility
Western Iowa Networks (WIN) recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its new Southern Operations Facility in Malvern, Iowa. The 18,000-square-foot facility will serve as a central hub for WIN's expanding presence across southwest Iowa—featuring office space for technicians and garage space for vehicles and equipment. "This groundbreaking is not just about a new building—it's about our long-term commitment to southern Iowa," said WIN CEO Jeff Roiland. Completion of construction is expected by the end of 2026. This investment marks another step in WIN's mission to bring fast, reliable fiber connectivity to rural communities throughout the region. 
We had a fantastic time at the Denison High School Career Fair! Thank you to the school for having us and to all the students who stopped by to ask questions and learn about the telecommunications industry and about the career opportunities it offers. It was a pleasure sharing our experiences and connecting with the next generation of professionals. 
Western Iowa Networks was proud to recently present checks to the cities of Breda and Macedonia to support local projects. The City of Breda received a Ripple Effect Grant to help with their ballpark lighting upgrades, making the diamonds brighter and safer for players and fans alike. 
Meanwhile, the City of Macedonia received an Aureon Charity Grant to enhance technology at City Hall, improving services for residents and streamlining city operations. We're honored to support initiatives that make a real difference in our communities! 
We had a great time at the Treynor Farmers Market! It was wonderful visiting with everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about WIN's fiber internet and services. We truly appreciate the warm welcome and community support—thank you to everyone who came out to say hello and make the event such a success! |
