Our Local Sisterhoods
Day of Action Projects
On April 12, 2026, WRJ members and supporters across North America joined together for a coordinated day of community action and advocacy. The goal was to focus on doing Tikkun Olam projects organization wide. Here are the stories of two district sisterhoods and the projects they held.

Voter Registration:
Women of Riverdale Temple |
The Women of Riverdale Temple's WRJ group (in Riverdale, NY) had a voter registration drive on our Day of Action. The weather was cold, and we were outdoors at a supermarket, two farmer's markets, and a local library. We did register voters, some of whom needed to re-register because they had moved. I think we all felt some satisfaction at having participated in the work of democracy.

| For our WRJ Day of Action, Temple Etz Chaim (TEC) Sisterhood in Franklin, MA joined forces with our TEC community for Mitzvah Day on Sunday, May 3, 2026, to volunteer at Medway Community Farm. We removed debris from the fields where crops will be planted.

Many hands make light work. The farm experience was a cross generational day of helping our community ... lots of good work and fun together. Many people wanted to drive the tractor. Only the boss has that fun.
