UTA PD awarded accreditation with excellence
|
For the sixth time, the UTA Police Department received recognition from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). On Monday, Feb. 12,
the department was presented with its first certificate for advanced CALEA accreditation with excellence, an honor that UTA PD earned by meeting the 480-plus eligibility standards. The designation acknowledges the department’s commitment to go above and beyond in serving UTA students, faculty, staff, and visitors every day.

| The Polar Bear Plunge is today, Tuesday, Feb. 20, 7-8:30 p.m., at the Physical Education Building’s outdoor pool. Registration is free for students with a donation to the Maverick Pantry. Donations will be collected at the pool. The first 75 who register, donate, and take the plunge will receive a free T-shirt.

| The UTA Department of Theatre and Dance presents Head Over Heels, the 2018 Broadway musical mash-up of Renaissance poetry and 1980s pop music by the Go-Go’s. The show runs for six performances from Wednesday, Feb. 28, though Saturday, March 2,
at 7:30 p.m., with matinee performances on March 2 and 3 at 2 p.m. Purchase tickets.
