The new
International Studies major in Center for International Studies received final approval from the Ohio Department of Education at the end of August. With this new streamlined major, students choose one regional focus and one transregional theme. Congratulations to Josh Hill and the CIS team!
The African Student Union had a fabulous African Night celebration this past weekend. It was such an affirming and positive evening celebrating the cultures of Africa. ASU and others have posted great

Congratulations to Morgan Ceferatti, Geoff Dabelko, Emily Englehart, Linda Johnson, Melissa Kulp, and Jamie Lambert who received the CIBED Global Access Awards recently. Also highlighted were alumni Brian and Kerry Ballinger and Carolyn Balogh.
Last week, the College of Business welcomed executives from Brazil for leadership and professional development programs. These programs are under the direction of Gabe Giordano.
OPIE welcomed 132 students into their intensive English programs, 31 from Chubu. Thanks to Director, Gerry Krzic and Assistant Director, Becky Challenger.
Letitia Price, Assistant Director of the Ohio Women’s Center was highlighted in
Ohio News. She participated in the Empowering New Voices through Education and Sports Training program in Rwanda where she explored gender equity and women’s health.
