We are pleased to invite you to the 2023 LEO Celebration starting with catered food at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23, in the University of Wisconsin Law School Atrium. Hosted by the Middle Eastern Law Student Association (MELSA) and La Alianza, this year's event promises to be an exciting celebration of diversity, equity and inclusion.
At 4 p.m., we are thrilled to have Omar Farah as our keynote speaker this year. His distinguished career as a civil rights leader and legal advocate includes fighting for American Muslims and other historically targeted communities.
The event will feature catered food from various local restaurants that represent all five LEO organizations, including the Indigenous Law Student Association, American Pacific Islander Desi Law Student Association, Black Law Student Association, MELSA and La Alianza. This is an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and learn about the important work being done to advance social justice causes in our community.
Awards will also be given to members within each organization who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in their communities. Dress code for this celebration is casual.
We look forward to seeing you at this momentous occasion.
Sincerely,
MELSA and La Alianza
