While we're on the subject of our Traveling Exhibitions shows: Through Dec. 31, the Utah State Capitol will host “The Pen Is Mightier: Writing a Revolution,” one of our Traveling Exhibitions displays that explores the power of communication in shaping history, civic life, and democratic change.

New Environmental Monitoring Program
|
Is monitoring your collections environment on the back burner? Have you done your due diligence and collected environmental data but aren't putting it to good use? Confused about what it even means? Consider applying for our new collections preservation opportunity this spring: Environmental Monitoring Training Program. We will provide a cohort of collecting institutions across Utah with the tools, training, and support they need to log and use environmental data for their collections spaces with Conserv monitoring tools. Each participating institution should have collections preservation needs and two available staff with capacity to attend quarterly check-ins and training. Participation is free and requires no travel, as all training will take place virtually over three years. This opportunity is appropriate for both beginners and more advanced learners. Questions? Please reach out to Marie Desrochers at mdesrochers@utah.gov.
